Sandra has been active locally and nationally since joining the SNP in 1983, being councillor for Foxbar, Renfrewshire, for ten years before being elected as a Glasgow MSP in 1999. Sandra is currently the Age Reporter of the Equal Opportunities Committee and Convener of the Cross Party Group on Older People Age and Ageing. She is also a substitute member of the Audit Committee. Sandra’s interests in politics are achieving social justice and the regeneration of Glasgow. She is married with three grown up children.
